Nov 10, 2009 - S2000's out of date. There have been 3 generations of Civic Type Rs in Japan since the life and death of the S2K.Honda could've taken advantage of the NSX's death by making the S2K more powerful. Buuuuut instead they took advantage of the death of the Integra and decided FWD was strangely more enjoyable anyway.

Sep 25, 2009 - ur observation is very straight forward however you have to understand the s2000 did not get a type r treatment. the civics had the type r treatment as well additional upgrades in the shape of mugen and even more so modulo. point it a tuner car can always beat a good sports car if enough good parts are on it. i wouldn't be surprised if that civic is making north of 240hp

Aug 1, 2009 - I love the S2000, but I wish Honda would make better RWD cars. To me, the S2000 just looks like a car that a properly tuned & lightweight FWD car could beat on the track.With this generation of Civic Type Rs, it feels like Honda is in their own little world of FWD fun in Japan. Europe gets a watered down Civic-R (unless they special order the J-spec) and understandably the U.S. won't ever see another R. The closest thing we get is what came in last place in this video.
